Moderating temperatures are forecast for southwestern Ohio with possible showers or light rain. Daytime highs should reach the 60s and tonight’s low will be in the Ws. Cooler conditions give way to warmer weather on Monday with highs in the 70s.
President Nixon said he will not hesitate to take unpopular actions if he is convinced he is right and his aides indicated he is prepared to veto a large HEW-Labor appropriations bill. Ehrlichman said higher taxes could be used to justify stepping up restraint and spending. Nixon will give another Veterans Day broadcast, while Congress altered the vetoed measure to 29.3 billion dollars and continue funding at 28 billion until Feb. 28.
Two Hunt brothers Charles 19 and Kenneth 16 turned themselves in to Summit County officials after a fatal early morning shooting in Akron. Patrolman Stephen Oneas, 27, died from a heart wound. Patrolman Phillip Brady 32 was seriously wounded.
