Former CIA agent Patrick J. McGarvey claims the agency briefly stole the Soviet Sputnik for three hours in a covert operation. He lambasts the agency as an insufferable bureaucratic morass and criticizes its lack of direction while detailing the dismantling and return of the satellite display.
Henry Kissinger and President Thieu met for nearly four hours amid talks of a partial cease-fire. It was their third meeting in two days with no word on Kissinger’s next move.
