Schenck property finally sold to local developer

Lenora Schenck sold the 50 acre Howe Road farm in Trenton to J.A. Development LLC for $535000 after two failed rezoning attempts. The house sits in very low density R-1 zoning with 15000 square foot lots and 1600 square foot homes, while earlier requests for R-2 zoning sought denser housing. Neighbors feared property value impacts and the City Council rejected the rezoning twice citing density and quality of life concerns. The farm, once in Madison district, was annexed into Trenton three years ago.
