A front wall of the vacant Royal Electric building on Plum Street in Germantown collapsed at 2 20 p m yesterday as workers removed the roof. No one was hurt and nearby residents recalled a safe street with debris scattered by the crash.

Amtrak Train Collides With Freight Train in Thomasville
An Amtrak Miami to Chicago passenger train traveling about 10 mph rear ended a freight train in Thomasville Georgia. Twelve people were brought to a local hospital for treatment though only one was seriously hurt, a freight crew member with a possible fractured hip. Forty two aboard the passenger train called the Joridian.
