Hamiltonian Is Killed At Atom Plant

Ezra Schultz Jr. 26 of College Corner Rt. 1 died from a skull fracture after a 13 foot fall through a hole on a construction site at Furnard Atomic Energy Plant. He worked for National Lead Co. of Ohio and died at Mercy Hospital Hamilton at 4 20 a.m. He left a wife Bonita and three children. Funeral arrangements pending.

Detroit Woman Charged in Second Degree Manslaughter

Mrs Jewell F McHellon 30 of Detroit saw her second degree manslaughter case delayed a day in Municipal Court after her attorney asked for more time. She drove a car that rammed another near West Chester on Sept 12 killing a Dayton youth. Bond set at 2500 dollars. The charge was filed by the State Patrol.

Armeo Worker Dies After Bingo Incident in Middletown

Clinton Reffitt 55 of 1610 Central Ave died Tuesday at Middletown Hospital after a cerebral hemorrhage struck him during bingo at the Knights of Columbus auditorium. A longtime Armco Steel employee and veteran, he leaves a wife Zora, two sons, a daughter, four grandchildren, and several siblings. Funeral services are set for 10 a.m. Saturday at Joseph R. Baker and Sons Funeral Home with burial in Woodside Cemetery. viewing hours span Thursday and Friday.

Christina Reed 48, formerly of Kings Mills, died Monday at a Herkimer New York hospital after surgery. Survived by husband Newton a son Gregory mother Mrs Clarkie Worthington Kings Mills sister Mrs Alvina Sparks Dayton and brother Delmar Arnold Fort Wayne Ind. Thieves Fail In Burglary At Pat's Super Market

Deputies report two intruders broke a window at Pat's Super Market Engle's Corner gaining entry late Monday night or early yesterday. The store was ransacked but no items appeared missing though a cash register was moved. Patrons note a prior Sept 20 break-in where $50 in small change was taken from a carton under a desk. Harold Pattison owns the market.

Local Resident Pinned By Truck In Yesterday's Crash

A Middletonian, Angelo Lauring age 23 of 2108 Grand Ave, suffered a shoulder injury after the dump truck he drove overturned on US 28 near Kirchling Road. He was treated at Mercy Hospital Hamilton and released. A second youth, Russell Sheeler 17, overturned a car on Tylersville Road while swerving to avoid another vehicle. Earl Smith 58 was cited for reckless driving after driving on the left side of the road to avoid a head on collision with Sheeler’s overturned vehicle.
