Attitude shift discussed at Soroptimist club event

Mrs. Oscar Day, speaking at the Middletown Soroptimist Club’s 20th anniversary at the Manchester Inn, argued that past plots against the president by Fromme and Moore highlighted how society undervalued women. She said women are now gaining top roles but many remain undereducated and must prove their potential. She described her own view as a balanced, capable individual seeking equal partnership with men for societal progress. Charter officers were honored and plans announced for a card party and a garage sale to support local activities.
