The Maryland Court of Appeals refused to review Arthur Bremer's conviction for the attempted assassination of Alabama Governor George Wallace. The ruling upholds the prior denial by the State Court of Special Appeals, exposing Bremer to a possible U.S. Supreme Court appeal. Bremer, 22, serves a 53 year sentence in Maryland for the 1972 Wallace shooting and injuries to three others.
