Sooner Lunar Flights May Begin By 1975 80
Space travel could become a reality for the public by 1975 to 1980, says H H Koelle of the George E Marshall Space Flight Center. He foresees rapid advances in space transportation, with large orbiting stations by 1968 69 a permanent lunar base by 1970 and a lunar settlement by 1975. Manned expeditions to other planets start in 1972 74 as annual earth to orbit trips grow to about 5 000 men and lunar round trips reach about 500 a year.
