Tel Aviv bridge coup ends in unlucky South failure
In an international Tel Aviv tournament a South player failed to secure a slam after a spade lead and doubleton signaling by L O Ls. West out on trumps forced a lengthy play, and a later spade finesse misled declarer. The result was an exotic coup and a dramatic defeat. Additionally a note recalls the 1910 arrival of the armored car on American roads noting features like a bank on wheels.
