Woman's Death Held Accident in Chicago Inquest
Loretta King, a 26 year old expectant mother, died after being run over in a west side alley by her paraplegic former husband James Moore, 21. The coroner's jury ruled the death accidental. Moore did not testify. Police said alcohol was involved and Moore claimed he felt the wheels go over her after attempting to follow her from his specially equipped car. No charges were filed. Moore had recently been released from Hines Veterans Hospital.

Missionary Is Suspended Over Seminole Whipping
ATLANTA AP A Baptist Missionary Stanley Walker Smith 38 a Creek Indian to Seminole Dania Florida given permanent suspension by the Baptist Home Mission board for whipping three Seminole Indian girls. He must surrender his 35 acre parsonage on the Seminole reservation. Board spokesman J B Lawrence said the action stemmed from a harmful situation noting it might be tolerated in Oklahoma but not in this region. Smith admitted whipping the girls claiming they were drunk and misbehaving and that his 19 year old son was punished similarly.
