Indian Guides and Princess programs to begin at Y
The Middletown Area YMCA will start its Indian Guides and Indian Princess programs next week to strengthen father child bonds. Programs target first to third graders with tribes of six to eight fathers and children meeting biweekly in area schools and the YMCA.

Alcoholism Council Receives $10000 Grant for Emergency Needs
The Alcoholism Council of Butler County received a $10,000 grant from the Hamilton Community Foundation to cover emergency finances. President Frank Neal said the grant helps through year end as federal funding has dwindled, with insurance reimbursement via a Blue Cross contract aiding long term stability. The council operates a 30 bed residential unit that has aided over 800 people in under two years in Sidney, Ohio.
