A pair of earthquakes centered in Santa Rosa left at least 24 injured, knocked out power and ruptured gas and water mains. A milder third tremor followed, as crews, hospitals, and police responded. damage included a collapsed wall, damaged car, and looting concerns. Seismologists cited magnitudes around 5.5 to 5.8.

Classes Suspended In Dayton High School As Tensions Rise

In Dayton Ohio classes were suspended at Colonel White High School amid efforts by teachers and parents to ease racial tensions after student disturbances. Police moved crowds along Wabash and Mount Vernon avenues, arresting four adults and about 15 juveniles with no confirmed injuries. Disorderly conduct charges filed for all arrested. a 16 year old was cited for concealed weapon possession.
