Congress Reinstates Standard Time This Winter

Congress votes to restore standard time this winter with Senate passage sending the bill to President Ford for signature. Most Americans will set clocks back one hour on Oct 27 ending daylight saving time for 10 months, with few exceptions including Indiana and territories. Food Prices Down and Gas Tax Studied by Government

The Agriculture Department reports a 2 percent fall in the farm price index from Aug 15 to Sept 15 due to lower cattle and hog prices as farmers boost marketings.
