FBI Still Hunts Sky Pirate Des Washtog Hijacker
FBI in Portland and Seattle continue pursuit of the hijacker who bailed from a Northwest Airlines Boeing 727 during a Seattle to Reno flight. Local agencies have shifted focus to other duties as investigators weigh parachute escape, flight recorder readings, and the bomber threat. Dr. Otto Larsen of the University of Washington called the act an awesome feat in man versus machine and likened the hijacker to a curious Robin Hood.
