Water color artistry blends math and memory
Germantown artist Barney Kesling of 7044 E Market St combines math and art in water colors. A senior Armco Steel engineer, he paints landscapes from slides or sketches, notes that water colors demand doing it right first time, and uses 100 percent linen rag paper for lasting brightness. He also promotes art in his church and school, citing a year of commercial art training and a library reference collection.
