Panel formed to resolve Lake Erie fishing conflict
Ohio Governor Gilligan announced an 18 member task force to settle tensions between sport and commercial fishermen on Lake Erie. The group will set biologically based commercial quotas and adjust license fees, aiming for fair funding of hatcheries and oversight, with the state having spent over 200000 on fisheries while commercial fishermen paid only 10000.
