Pay repeal drive fails to reach required signatures in Ohio
Elyria backers of the repeal drive say they gathered less than 25 percent of the 191,000 needed to place the issue on the May 4 1974 ballot. Mary Jane Logue founder of RIP reports signatures collected from only 10 of 44 counties while state officials would raise legislator pay by 3500 and top officials by up to 13000.
