Fallujah held-person slaughterhouse described by generals

U S and Iraqi troops found a windowless room in a concrete house in Fallujah with blood soaked mattresses and a wheelchair. Marine Maj Gen Richard Natonski said the site likely held and mistreated captives as a militant flag and a black banner were visible. Investigators catalogued documents CDs clothing and a large arms cache to confirm the room's use in executions.

Israeli Arrests Vanunu Over Leak Claims

Heavily armed police stormed a Jerusalem church compound and arrested Mordechai Vanunu, a former nuclear technician who served 18 years for treason. He was jailed for seven days under house arrest after a magistrate ordered confinement at the church hostel. Vanunu condemned the move as a disgrace to Israeli democracy while analysts suggested the action may curb discussions of Israel’s nuclear program amid global efforts to block Iran’s nuclear ambitions.
