Bethlehem deal sets pension and social costs for steel workers
The Bethlehem pact signed October 31 guarantees a 100 dollar minimum monthly pension for workers with 25 years of service and age 65, funded by a 50-50 social insurance split with workers. Wages stay at 1.65 dollars an hour, while a five cent an hour social insurance cost is shared.
