Belgians Taken Hostage at Tunis Embassy

A Tunisian man entered the Belgian Embassy in Tunis and took four Belgians hostage. The hostages include Counsellor Edmond de Weld and three other diplomats or staff. Police sealed the area. no shots were fired and motives remain unknown.

Fenwick Falcons Reach Fourth Straight Ohio Playoffs

Fenwick High School's football team earned a fourth consecutive state playoff berth, the first Ohio school to do so across all classes. They finished 7-3 after beating Ross 21-0 and will face Newark Catholic at Groveport High School at 7:30 p.m. Friday. Objective Achieved as Moroccan March Ends in Agadir

Hundreds of thousands of Moroccans began withdrawing from the Spanish Sahara after King Hassan II declared the march to claim the territory had achieved its objective. Officials said 350 000 volunteers would stay near the border to bolster negotiations while sovereignty would be handed to the United Nations for a three party administration.

In Luanda Portugal ceded Angola to the Angolan people in a ceremony ending five centuries of colonial rule. Adm. Leonel Cardoso announced the handover at the government palace noting the three liberation groups remained divided and not yet united.

Pilot ejects hijacker during plummeting sightseeing flight

Evansville pilot Richard Leibundguth said he faced a pistol wielding youth who ordered a spin toward Missouri. After a struggle the pilot kicked the teen from the door as the plane tumbled from 5 000 to about 3 000 feet, then landed and notified authorities. The 19 year old Jack R Johnston Jr was found dead in a field near Cape Girardeau Missouri.

Middletown Weather Forecast Turns Sunny After 8-Inch Rain

Clearing skies are expected tonight in the Middletown area with lows in the upper 30s. Highs should reach the upper 50s on Tuesday, following yesterday's 74 degree high and 56 degree low. An 8 inch rainfall was recorded. The outlook calls for fair skies Wednesday, a chance of showers Thursday, and clearing Friday.
