Youth Service Bureau facility variance denied in Middletown
The Middletown Board of Zoning Appeals denied a variance for a YSB shelter at 513 South Main Street after five area residents testified against it. YSB officials say the decision harms youths in need while noting Hamilton’s facility runs at capacity and Middletown youth cases rise. The search for a suitable house will continue, with officials pledging to seek a safer, better-suited location.
