Former high school star Calv in Bell jailed for drunken crash death

Calvin Bell 20 of Miamisburg received two years in prison after pleading for leniency from Warren County Common Pleas Court Judge James Flannery for the April crash on Interstate 75 that killed Nick Jordan 19 of Springboro. Bell had a 0.194 BAC and the Acura he drove flipped six times after traveling 86 mph. Jordan died five days later. The scene drew tears from Jordan’s family as 12 hours earlier Eric Ramsey died in a separate one car crash near the same area. Jordan, a Springboro High School graduate and former Ohio University football recruit, was among Warren County’s 17 crash fatalities that year.

Middletown man and psychology instructor dies in one car crash

Eric G. Ramsey 42 of North Marshall Road was killed in a single car crash on Second Street in Franklin. The Sinclair Community College psychology professor and UD adjunct began teaching in 1997 and held a master’s from UD. Police investigation ongoing with no other vehicles involved.
