Deters Victory Triggers Ohio Treasurer Shakeup
Ohio Governor Taft is poised to name a new state treasurer in January as Joe Deters leaves the statewide post to become Hamilton County prosecutor. Deters won a write in race against Fanon Rucker 119576 to 89593 votes after Mike Allen withdrew amid harassment allegations. Jenette Bradley, current lieutenant governor and Commerce Department chief, is a leading candidate to replace Deters if she moves to treasurer.
