The Toledo crash killed two and injured 26, including staff or San Luis Obispo residents connected to the college.
Manila AP report says Carlos Amos, 29, was fishing in Pampanga when a fish allegedly jumped into his mouth. He died before rescuers could remove it, leaving authorities investigating the bizarre accident.
Sen John F Kennedy pressed a three year voluntary diplo matic service concept dubbed a peace corps for young men as an alternative to peacetime draft. He stressed qualified applicants and said it would be voluntary not easy. Kennedy planned stops in Phoenix Albuquerque Amarillo and other cities before Washington while mocking Nixon over Social Security opposition claims.

In Watsonville California two embalmed red haired Siamese twin babies were found in a suitcase in a Pajaro Valley Bank safe keeping vault during a routine inventory. An embalming certificate dated 1908 and a doctor’s certificate from 1922 were found with the remains. Bank officials could not determine when the suitcase was left, suggesting a period of two decades or more.
A trough of cool air brings scattered frost tonight as temperatures dip to 30. Friday remains partly cloudy with little change, high around 50. Yesterday's official high reached 54 by 4 p.m. and the overnight low stood at 37.
