New XB70 Display Debuts Before 4000 Spectators
Palmdale California saw the rollout of the XB70R a new triple sonic reconnaissance bomber model. Public audience of about 4000 mostly North American Aviation employees and reporters attended the first viewing. The aircraft is to begin engine testing soon with its maiden flight planned for July. The XB70A predecessor has reached 1700 mph at 65000 feet and was designed for 2000 mph at 70000 feet.

Wittenberg to Break Ground on Music School in Springfield
Ground will be broken June 5 for Wittenberg University's 1.3 million music school, named for late Mrs. Sara Krieg of Canton. Her 500000 annuity gift to the university in 1955 grew into a fund nearing 900000.
