Army studies find little Vietnam combat fatigue
Army researchers after two years and field data from 2,800 battles found minimal fatigue among American soldiers in Vietnam. They cite the one year tour, brief firefights, and rapid medical care as key factors. The study also notes troops fight through pain for comrades and missions, while revealing new wound treatment methods and helmet design trials.
