Funeral Saturday for Middletown editor David Regan
Retired Journal executive editor David T. Regan, 70, died of heart failure yesterday at Middletown Hospital after collapse at home. A Columbus native and Ohio State journalism graduate, he shaped Middletown news from 1929 to 1972 and led The Journal as executive editor after writing Here and There. Burial is in Woodside Cemetery. services are set for Saturday at 2 p.m. at Wilson-Schramm Memorial Home.

Government to switch Social Security to direct deposits
The U S government will begin a nationwide direct deposit program for Social Security payments starting in August 1975 with voluntary enrollment.
