Ohio National Bank Named Trustee For Turnpike Bonds
The Ohio National Bank of Columbus will act as trustee for 33 million dollars in revenue bonds to be issued by the Ohio Turnpike Commission. The bank will oversee funds and turnpike operation across Northern Ohio. Commission chair James W. Schocknessy announced the arrangement after meetings with investment bankers seeking to sell the bonds amid a taxpayer suit challenging construction and northern route. The suit, brought by Carl R. Baldur of Maumee, is set for July 21 in Lucas County Common Pleas Court and argues for southward construction and questions turnpike constitutionality.
