Wellmet Project Lets Chronically Ill Live With Students
In Cambridge near Harvard, eight students share a house with eight mental patients as an experiment called Wellmet. The project, started in 1950 by Harvard student volunteers, aims to give patients dignity and a path back to society. Patients and students live together with shared chores and affordable room and board.
