Body Of Parachutist Is Found

In Portsmouth Ohio two searchers recovered the body of 25 year old Roger Bridwell a former Army paratrooper from the Ohio River five miles below where he parachuted Wednesday and disappeared. Chester Huston and Roy Riggs spotted the body in mid river as winds shifted sending Bridwell into the river from his intended landing field. The Scioto County coroner opened an investigation and found no parachute remains.

Troops At Fort Bragg Pulling Out After Birmingham Riot

Forces sent to Maxwell Air Force Base for potential use during Birmingham racial unrest began withdrawing Saturday, with about 500 troops moving by convoy to Fort Benning and flights to Fort Bragg. The Army units at Fort McClellan were not being redeployed. Kennedy had ordered riot control troops to Alabama bases if local police could not cope.

One Killed Near Elyria In Two Car Crash
