Use DP's In Welfare Work Would Help Ohio
Cleveland AP report says a shortage of trained personnel for welfare work in Ohio could be eased by hiring displaced persons living in the state. John H. Lamneck, state welfare director, cites recruiting competent professional personnel as the main problem in Ohio's mental hygiene program. A state law forbids employment of noncitizens, ruling out the DPs. Delegates from 33 leagues and five provisionals attend the league's 23rd state convention through Thursday.
