Hays aide denied Supreme Court hearing bid
Don R. Gosney, aide to Rep. Wayne Hays, lost his bid for a Supreme Court hearing over his bid to regain a seat on the Columbiana County Board of Elections. The Supreme Court refused to review a Cincinnati court's ruling that denied reappointment. Gosney had served on the board and on Hays staff since 1951 and was refused reappointment in 1974 due to a conflict of interest cited by Ohio Secretary of State Ted W. Brown.
