Major Resurfacing Planned For Middletown June

Middletown will start its largest street resurfacing program in June led by City Manager Charles W. Thompson. About 22.15 miles of streets will receive a seal coat at a cost savings by using city employees, covering roughly 345 000 square yards and raising manholes to meet new street forces. The plan includes purchase of a three wheel street sweeper, a portable sewer router, and a motorized portable collector to cut fall leaf collection costs, with work expanding service since 1952.
