Camp Campbell Gard Hosts YMCA Young Adults Weekend
Camp Campbell Gard hosts the 22nd annual Southwest Ohio YMCA Young Adult Camp over Memorial Day weekend May 29 to 31 in Hamilton. Ten Middleton residents are registered. Columbus participants join Middleton Cincinnati and Hamilton attendees for recreation themed around the Ohio Sesquicentennial. Activities include swimming boating dancing campfire sports and group events with prizes for best pioneer era costumes. Love-Letter Champ Faces Mental Test
New London Conn May 16 A father of 12 was held for a mental examination after continuing to write love letters to a 30 year old woman one letter 465 pages long. Julio Recanati 45 a cabinet maker said there was never any serious purpose in his mind. Police did not identify the woman. Recanati was earlier convicted of breach of peace and placed on probation. He was arrested again when the woman complained of another letter. Prosecutor described the letters as drivel.
