Hawks Hensley Eyes Three State Meets in Three Classes

Madison Mohawk junior Mike Hensley may become Ohio's first athlete to run in three state track meets across three classes. He placed second in the 440 at the Dayton Class AA Regional, lowering Madison's mark to 49.4 seconds and qualifying for his second state meet. Several area runners also advanced, including Fenwick's Butch Harkrader and Springboro's Chuck Johnson and Steve Cox, with mixed events and other qualifiers for Class A finals at Upper Arlington High School. The state meet schedule followed the regional results amid Ohio high school classification changes and campus unrest halting the Ohio Stadium event.
