City Health Orders Tap-Ins For North Middletown Sewers

The Middletown Health Department will issue 60 day notices to North Middletown property owners in the sewer district to tap into the new sewer. Notices target owners with completed sewer work but no tap in and those with nonoperating septic tanks posing health risks. The city expects about 400 properties already tapped, with eight taps daily but warns this pace may not finish all connections. The department stresses permits and inspections under local plumbing rules and offers assistance to owners facing installation problems.
