Firefighting doctor dies in Cincinnati at 86
Dr. Giles DeCourcy, 86, a noted physician and longtime fire surgeon, died Saturday of a heart attack. He joined Cincinnati fire crews in 1916 and served as fire surgeon until 1959, later continuing to treat fire victims. He was the last of five physicians in his family, with his son Giles Jr. also a doctor.
