Rozelle Optimistic Pros Won't Strike This Year
NFL Commissioner Pete Rozelle expressed optimism there will be no players strike in the upcoming season. Speaking in Canton during the dedication of a $650,000 Pro Football Hall of Fame addition, he noted major differences have been settled and hopes to avoid last summer’s stalemate before training camp. Attending were Hall of Fame founders George Halas and Art Rooney. NFL funded 400,000 of the wing. Canton contributed 250,000.
