Foster program in jam in Butler County voices funding crisis
Mrs. Marilee Harris of Children's Services told Butler County commissioners that the foster program lacks a staffed emergency facility and enough group homes for troubled children. She cited meals and bedding shortages, with only 325000 budgeted this year, while the state funds 23 million for welfare but none for Children's Services.
