States rethink death penalty after Supreme Court ruling
About a dozen states have restored the death penalty and at least 15 more consider it. Measures enacted in Florida Montana Nebraska Georgia Connecticut Nevada Arkansas Wyoming Ohio and Utah set specific capital crimes. Arkansas and Tennessee bills await governors.

Ohio counties receive 8.8 million in April general relief
State Auditor Joseph Ferguson reports 8.8 million dollars in general relief subsidies were paid to all 88 Ohio counties in April. The program is state financed to help counties cover administrative and general relief costs, in addition to federal and state aid like Aid for Dependent Children and programs for the aged, disabled, and blind.
