Franklin wreck wounds and hospitalize two in Middletown crash
A two car crash on E Second Street yesterday afternoon left Franklin age 26 and her 2 year old daughter hospitalized. Mrs Shirley Barger 1902 E Second St in good condition with left arm injuries. Michelle Barger received over 100 stitches for facial lacerations after going through the windshield. Four others treated and released include Steven Barger 3 Marshall Barger 1 Laura Sword 36 and Lawrence Trent 18. The westbound car driven by Luther Ray Turner 21 Clark St collided with the Bargers after Turner said brakes failed during a left turn onto Allen Street. Turner was cited for failure to yield and five others rode in his car.

A 20 year old woman Wanda Terrell was injured when a car driven by her husband Richard struck a light standard at 9 30 pm causing a power outage in the Verity Parkway Malvern Street area.
