Four IRA suspects arrested in Dundalk linked to ambush deaths
Four men believed to be Irish Republican Army members were arrested in Dundalk near the Irish border after guerrilla attacks killed two British soldiers and wounded others in Crossmaglen. They were due in a Dublin court today, with one said to have escaped from a Northern Ireland jail. The arrests come as Ireland’s government intensifies actions against the IRA. Police in Dublin also probe a yearlong telephone tap of headquarters, with a raid locating monitoring gear and tapes.
