Attorney quits settlement proposed in waterline case
In Lebanon Dayton attorney Roy Boucher, who has advised about 170 Warren County residents in a $1.9 million waterline extension suit, asked to withdraw in probate court. Judge Ziegel granted the withdrawal and kept the case open to May 10 to allow clients to seek new counsel. Opponents argued the mediation should be continued. the proposed settlement would raise tap-in fees for nonabutting landowners and defer 75 percent of assessments for abutting landowners, with 20 year payments plus interest. If approved, the county would pay $1500 plus court costs to settle.
