Improvements at the Middletown Sportsmen's Club were approved by the board. The entrance road will be resurfaced and the parking area topped with crushed stone after 3000 gallons of oil. Bud Koeppel was named boy scoutmaster. Beginning May 12 chicken will join fish and ham at Friday night open house. Two shoots are planned: a registered shoot May 13-14 and a skeet league event Sunday at 1 PM, the Holstein Trophy to the winner.

Man's Body Found in Creek Near Sunbury
The body of Harry L. Metzer, 41, of Columbus, was found in Big Walnut Creek near Sunbury by Arthur Moone. Coroner says Metzer may have suffered a heart attack and fallen into the creek after fishing all morning. There is a note about bees: 5,700,000 colonies in the United States.
