Man Sought Here Held In Kentucky
A local man wanted by Middletown police on a defraud charge involving a 32 dollar check passed here April 25 is jailed in Newport Kentucky on a vagrancy charge. Edward Brown is charged with defraud by a warrant signed by James Agness of Albers Super Markets. The check was drawn on the First National Bank of Middletown. Newport police say Brown surrendered and admitted issuing bad checks in this part of Ohio. Butler County also has a bad check warrant against Brown, a state parolee. Additional complaints involve John Roderer of Roderer’s Shoe Store reporting a 17 dollar check drawn on Winters National Bank of Dayton signed by Lloyd Mantell, and another 15 dollar bad check recently passed at the same store.
