Tufts Prototypes Fail To Foil Toddlers At Kindergarten Test
In Somerville Massachusetts thirty six pupils in Cutler Elementary School kindergarten flunked a test of child proof containers designed by Tufts University engineering graphics and design students for the FDA. In trials two minutes were allowed, three of the 12 containers opened first, five after instruction, four remained locked. Among the unopened were a push button cap and a two spring safety collar.

Six year old Eric Thrasher drowns in Great Miami River
Eric Maurice Thrasher age six of 815 16th Ave Middletown drowned in the Great Miami River near Barnitz Stadium after slipping on gravel while throwing rocks with four other boys. Fireman Charles Seifert recovered the body at 4 42 p.m. Autopsy at Middletown Hospital ruled drowning. Survived by his mother and stepfather DeVore Taylor, a brother Keith, and three sisters Gail Wanda and DeNora. funeral arrangements tentatively set for Monday at J C Battles & Sons Funeral Home Cincinnati.
