Patchy Winter Weather Dips, Rain Surges Across South
Snow tapered in the Northeast while southern regions from eastern Texas to the Southeast faced heavy rain and storms. A spring snow storm hit New England and upstate New York with up to eight inches in parts, especially northern Massachusetts, and Boston saw four inches causing traffic disruptions. Two traffic deaths were linked to eastward air spread from Midwest chills. Upstate New York and parts of New England reported only flurries, while heavy rains raised flood risks in southern states and forecasts warned warm weather could worsen Midwest floods after snow.
