Monroe approves subdivision ordinance and annexes Boyd plot

Monroe village council passed a subdivision regulation ordinance after a public hearing and una nimous vote. It annexed Section Two of the Boyd Subdivision and approved Pleasant View Heights plat. Water line expansion to west and south was withheld until Board of Public Affairs approves changes and easements.

Robbery Try Ends For Local Building Salesman

In Youngstown a year old Cleveland salesman Joseph Martin Budin was charged with armed robbery after a $404 holdup at Seaboard Finance Co. Detectives said Budin, a Carnegie Building and Supply Co. salesman, claimed financial pressures and business decline drove the crime. He was stopped by a traffic officer minutes after the incident. A .38 caliber pistol was used in the staged hold up on the second floor near Central Square.
