Feasibility urged for boulevard along river levee
Jones told city officials that completing the project before winter could allow road surfacing in 1956 and that the boulevard would enable constant maintenance of the road and levee by the city. The levee’s exact location would follow the river’s east bank for maximum flood protection. Kramer noted road costs would not raise flood protection assessments.
