Hens Eat Less Food Produce More Eggs Declared
A food scientist estimates the 1950 hen model yields about twice as many eggs per pound of feed as 1900 hens. Dr H J Prebluda says modern hens eat less due to feed refinements and added egg building substances while delivering more eggs per unit feed. The finding was presented at the National Farm Chemurgic conference.
